Comparison between Lingual Mucosal Graft Urethroplasty and Buccal Mucosal Graft Urethroplasty in The Management of Anterior Urethral Stricture.

Background: Urethral stricture is a chronic and common urological problem in Bangladesh its management poses big challenge to urologists. Surgical treatment of urethral diseases continuously evolving process, the superiority one technique over another has yet be clearly demonstrated. Urethrotomy most commonly used but long term results are not satisfactory. Long penile strictures best treated by substitution urethroplasty. The ideal graft material for urethroplasty constantly evolving. Buccal mucosa produces excellent result associated with many donor site complications. Lingual an alternative achieved good functional aesthetic results. Materials & Methods: A hospital based prospective study was conducted department urology, Dhaka Medical College Hospital from July 2016 March 2017. Total 40 patients were included this study. They divided two groups, group 1 lingual mucosal 2 buccal graft. All followed up six months noting pre post-operative maximum urine flow rate (Qmax), voiding time complications at both site. Results: There no significant differences overall operative success between groups patients. But higher Conclusion: may preferred anterior as it easy harvest less short without difference rate.
